I come from a community where success wasn't encouraged and looked nothing like what we see in the movies or on television. Growing up in the projects, I was surrounded by narratives that painted limited pictures of what was possible, where dreams seemed distant and success felt reserved for a select few. But through those early experiences, I've come to understand the extreme importance of finishing what you started, not just for personal fulfillment but also as a beacon of hope and inspiration for others.

Our beginnings don't dictate our endings. It's a mantra that I've held onto tightly, especially when faced with challenges and doubts. My journey has often been filled with obstacles, doubters, and naysayers, but it’s how I navigated through them and persevered, that contributes to defining my character and strength. Anyone who knows me, since a kid, will tell you that, no matter what the situation, I always went hard and never gave up!

The goal isn't just personal success; it's about breaking down barriers and stereotypes. It's about proving that regardless of where we start, we can achieve greatness. Each step forward is not just for ourselves but for those who come after us, for those who need to see that it's possible to defy expectations and societal limitations.

Finishing what we start is a testament to resilience, determination, and the refusal to be defined by circumstances. It's about rewriting the narrative and showing that our backgrounds do not limit our potential. By reaching the finish line, we send a powerful message: it's not about how we start but how we finish, and it's not where we come from but where we're going that really matters.

This journey isn't just about me; it's about anyone who has ever been told they couldn't or shouldn't dream big. It's about proving that with hard work, dedication, and a relentless spirit, we can shatter glass ceilings and pave the way for others to follow.

So, I welcome the challenge, knowing that every step forward is a step toward empowerment, not just for myself but for a community that deserves to see its potential realized. The race isn't easy, but it's worth it, not just for the finish line but for the journey it represents—a journey of growth, empowerment, and limitless possibilities. #whowithme
